Van H. Gilbert Architects (VHGA), seeks an experienced A/E/C Marketing & Communications Manager to perform the following responsibilities:
Architecture Firm Marketing + Communications Manager
RFP / PROPOSAL MANAGEMENT
RFPs / Leads
- Create lead / vendor profiles
- Monitor and track RFPs, project opportunities & deadlines
- Identify potential pursuits, send to the team for consideration (with project highlights: Client & RFP Name, important deadlines: PP + Due Date, scope of work summary, budget, evaluation criteria)
Manage Proposal Process
- Kickoff meeting: identify win themes / facilitate strategy, relevant project examples, internal + external team, assign / identify content responsibilities, contact subconsultant team for quals materials (fee should be handled by Principal or PM)
- Layout proposal graphically / content assembly
- Manage content, schedule
- Ensure RFP compliance
- QA/QC Reviews
- Conduct draft review with team, produce, and coordinate delivery
Manage Interview Process
- Kickoff meeting, slide deck creation
- Schedule / conduct run-thrus
MARKETING + PROPOSAL ASSET ORGANIZATION / MANAGEMENT
Create Library, Manage + Update
- Project descriptions & photography
- Staff resumes
- Stock/Filler imagery: stock photos, staff working, company culture, etc.
- Marketing and proposal narratives for repeat use – scrub out client name / neutralize
- Company intros
- Company info / stats / important #s (Tax ID, NM Resident Preference, Veterans Preference, NAICS Codes)
- Project Budget & Schedule information (budget, MACC, estimate, bid, change orders, actual, etc.)
- Brand Assets: logos, corporate ID, etc.
GRAPHIC DESIGN
- Create Marketing Materials / Company Collateral – Brochures, banners, etc.
- Proposals
- Design award submittals
- Schematic design booklets
- Constructions Signs
BRAND OVERSIGHT
- Ensure consistent brand image internally and externally
- Manage brand assets: logos, corporate ID, construction signs, etc.
PR / SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGEMENT
- Write & distribute press releases
- Announce staff hires/ growth / project wins
- Thought Leadership: Conference Speaking Opportunities, article placement, blog posts
- Create a very basic social media presence, establish pages at minimum: LinkedIn, and posts
- Website Content Management
SKILLS
- 3 – 5 years marketing & proposal management experience in A/E/C industry (years of experience negotiable but industry experience mandatory)
- Demonstrated initiative
- Ability to manage multiple projects under a tight deadline
- Strong verbal & written communication skills
- Ability to work with a diverse staff
- Excellent graphic judgment
- Strong Adobe CC skills with heavy emphasis on InDesign & Illustrator
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, or other related field
Salary dependent on experience. Benefits include 8 paid holidays, PTO, health and dental insurance, 401K-plan participation, professional association membership, and paid conference attendance. VHGA is an EEOC employer.
